It’s about time I finally accept that I can’t start larger-scale projects on my own anymore. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day when I’m trying to juggle two jobs on top of all my fun video game related hobbies. So I’ve decided to hire an assistant for a new show I’ve been trying to create for my YouTube channel. The pay, you ask? Video games.

Job Description:

I’m looking for one volunteer to help me research news and happenings in the Indie Game Community. This research could be done one of two ways… 1, Either go out and find news articles written by various video game publications about the Indie Community. Or 2, be a journalist and create your own Indie Game news stories. Either way is equally acceptable!

Hours:

The hours you work are up to you. As long as I have the necessary news stories by Sunday (The show goes live on Wednesdays) then you can take all the time you need to do your research. Since you’re basically a volunteer, its up to you how you want to go about getting us the news. Work as hard or as little as you want!

Perks:

As stated above, you will be “paid” in indie games. Any games which we cover on the show will come with a press copy. Since you’ll be helping me do research, that press copy goes to you.

How to Apply:

Please email me with the following information…

  • Name or Nickname
  • Steam Account Name
  • Twitter (if you have one)
  • YouTube Channel (if you have one)
  • Why you’re interested in becoming my voluntary assistant

I’m not looking for a resume or anything like that. Please don’t send me a bunch of personal information… The only thing I really need from you is a good “this is why you should pick me” speech. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments, or in your email to me. I’ll be going over these applications for the next few days and making my decision hopefully very soon.
